Representative recent and ongoing activities

Member of drafting groups and consultant to World Health Organization (WHO) working groups responsible for drafting and review of guidance documents related to following topics:

• Acellular pertussis vaccines (approved 2011)
• Recombinant malaria vaccines (approved 2012)
• Diphtheria and tetanus toxoid based combined vaccines (approved 2012)
• Nonclinical evaluation of vaccine adjuvants and adjuvanted vaccines (approved 2013)

Consultant to agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services

• Provide technical and statistical support for immunological assays.
• Provide product development support related to assay design, correlates of protection, and animal model development.
• Provide consultation services on design, qualification, and validation of assays in support of prophylactic and therapeutic animal models.

Member, Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice pertussis working group (2004 to 2006; 2009 to 2014)
